Jaguars, Kanuku Warriors, and Surama clinched semi-final berths in the female and male divisions respectively, following quarter-final wins in the second leg of the Rupununi Football Association Champions League on Saturday, September 23rd.
The Jaguars outfit mauled the Gladiators 3-1 in the second leg of the men’s division to advance 6-3 on aggregate. The Jaguars won the first leg 3-0.
On the other hand, the Kanuku Warriors defeated the Gladiators 3-1 in the second leg of the women’s segment to advance 4-3 on aggregate. The first leg ended 2-1 in favor of the Gladiators.
Meanwhile, Surama defeated 7K United 1-0 in the second leg of the women’s pool to progress 1-0 on aggregate after the first leg concluded scoreless.
Also, 7K United progressed to the final four sections of the men’s division by a 7-3 score on aggregate, despite losing 1-3 to Challengers in the second leg. The first match ended 6-0 in favor of 7K United.
