A new Shell gas station is now open for business at Lot AB Plantation in Enmore on the East Coast of Demerara.
The new service station comprises six pumping stations, distributed over three pump islands, a Sol shop/mini mart, and one diesel-only dispenser.
Speaking at the grand opening on Tuesday, the Sol Guyana Inc General Manager, Earl Carribon, stated that the opening of the Shell Enmore Service Station was accomplished at a cost of US$8 million. He noted that within the community of Enmore, the Shell brand has been significantly under-represented, hence the company has taken a proactive approach to change this.
The Enmore branch is a significant company milestone, marking the 11th establishment of its footprint on Guyana’s soil.
Carribon highlighted the brand’s recent expansion, pointing out the opening of their Mandela Avenue branch back in February of this year was done at a cost of US$2.8 million.
He stressed that their commitment is to energise the communities in which Shell service stations operate.
Carribon expressed gratitude to Muneshwar Persaud for his collaboration with the company in making the new service station a reality.
The gas station was built by Persaud and was leased and branded by Sol Guyana Inc.
