GT Kanaimas and Coomacka tallied wins in the women’s division while Paruima and Lake Mainstay recorded victories in the men’s section respectively, when the Amerindian Heritage Games Football Championship continued on Saturday evening at the Everest Cricket Club grounds, Carifesta Avenue, and Camp Road.
In the women’s pool, GT Kanaimas thrashed Rupununi 6-0. Jalade Trim led the rout with a hat-trick in the 33rd, 42nd, and 53rd minutes, while Shanic Thornhill bagged a double in the 46th and 61st minutes. Annalise Larson opened the scoring in the 18th minute.
