Chairman of Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) and Executive Member of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Daniel Seeram is to appear in court on October 10 on a charge of assaulting his wife.
Police sources say that the matter had been called on September 25th but Seeram did not appear in court. He has now been summoned to appear on October 10th.
According to the police charge sheet, it is alleged that Seeram on September 11th at Cummings Lodge, Georgetown assaulted his wife causing her actual bodily harm.
Reports are that the incident occurred just about 3am when the two got into a heated argument.
According to the Commander of ‘A’ Division, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean, the two made two separate reports.
