Alton Straker, a 27-year-old taxi driver of Lot 63 Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was charged yesterday with grievous bodily harm and pleaded not guilty.
He is accused of wounding Kevin Shepherd on September 24th, 2023 at Sarah Johanna, EBD, according to a release from the police.
The accused appear-ed at the Diamond/ Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #1 before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce where the charge was read to him and he pleaded not guilty.
Bail was granted in the sum of $50,000 and the matter was adjourn-ed to November 3rd, 2023.
