Lavie Long, 38, of El Dorado Village, West Coast Berbice died today after she was run over by a Guyana Defence Force bus on the Foulis Public Road.
The police said in a statement that the accident occurred at around 1.05 am and the bus, DFB 1661 had been proceeding at a fast rate. The 46-year-old staff sergeant is in custody.
