The Guyana Marketing Corporation (GMC) today said that a farmer’s market will be held at Leonora, West Coast Demerara and at Albion, Corentyne tomorrow morning featuring cheaper prices.
In an advertisement in today’s Stabroek News, the GMC said that the events will be held at the Leonora Track and Field Tarmac and the Albion Community Centre beginning at 6 am.
It said that the following items will be available:
Fresh cow’s milk at $200 per litre
Eggs at $1400 per tray
Chicken at $300 per Lb
Pork at $500 per Lb
Beef at $550 per Lb
Rice at $1400 10 Kg (white) $1600 (parboiled)
and fresh fruits and vegetables
