Drivers and passengers are being advised that Providence Road (Red Road) has been blocked off from the entrance on the East Bank Public Road up to Massy Stores.
The Ministry of Public Works said that this is due to some unusual events on the roadway.
Sections of the road have cracked open and this has been attributed to by some to pile driving and the storing of large amounts of stone in a section of the area.
