A Corriverton market labourer who was accused of murdering Lochan Persaud Kamaldeo, a vagrant, was yesterday freed at the High Court in Berbice.
In January, 2020, Dave Jacobs, then 19, appeared at the Number 51 Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alex Moore, where he was read the charge that on January 3, 2020, he murdered Kamaldeo also known as “Tyron”, 43.
However, Justice Sandil Kissoon yesterday upheld a no-case submission which was presented by Jacob’s lawyer, Surihya Sabsook.
