Devon Browne and Osafo Allen appeared yesterday before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where they were charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
It is alleged that on Tuesday, October 10, while in the vicinity of North Sophia, George-town, Allen and Browne were travelling in a car that was intercepted by police ranks. It was searched and discovered in the back seat was a black plastic bag containing 1,472 grammes of cannabis.
Allen, who was the driver, and Browne, who was the other occupant of the vehicle, both denied ownership of the suspected narcotics at the time.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charge and were remanded to prison until November 17, 2023.
