Guyana’s Harpy Eagles will depart Guyana’s shores today for Trinidad and Tobago where they will look to secure a first Regional 50-over title since 2005 which they won at home.
Ahead of their departure, the side got in some much needed practice in a one-off warm up match on Tuesday, against a select Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) ‘Rest Team’.
In that match, the batsmen got some much needed runs and time at the crease. Currently under the microscope, opening batsman Chandrapaul Hemraj hit an aggressive half-century which will give him a welcome boost ahead of the CG Insurance Super50 competition. Romario Shepherd and Kemol Savory also scored half-centuries while all-rounder Quentin Sampson spanked 49 runs from 20-odd deliveries.
