Police in Region Seven have arrested a man, who is accused of raping a 10-year-old girl multiple times.
According to a police press release, three incidents of sexual assault were reported by the young child.
The first attack was said to have occurred on Friday, 2nd April 2021, at about 12:30 hrs. The victim told her mother what had occurred, and she scolded the suspect. However, it happened again that same year and again her mother scolded the suspect.
On Friday, 13th October 2023, the child went to bathe at a creek around 07:00 hrs, when the man who had apparently followed her, assaulted her as she was changing her clothes. She immediately reported what had occurred to her grandmother, who made a police report.
By 11:30 hrs, the man was arrested and is currently in police custody.
