Yesterday, a large bulge appeared on the Grove, East Bank Public Road triggering immediate repair work, the latest in a series of problems on that stretch. Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill advised drivers, especially truckers, to exercise caution when traveling along the East Bank Public Road in the vicinity of the Grove/Diamond area. According to Edghill, the bulge on the western side of the corridor was as a result of the road not being built to support the enormous weight that trucks transport on a regular basis. Truck drivers were therefore urged to follow the weight restriction while the rehabilitation works are in progress.
