Dear Editor,
A news item on an international channel proclaims boldly ‘ Russia’s UN ambassador calls for ceasefire in Israel-Hamas conflict”(Al Jazeera Oct 14). What irony! Calling for a ceasefire (as he should) while his country continues its offensive against a sovereign nation, for over five hundred days and counting. The irony of all ironies!
