The Guyana Cricket Board has officially announced the signing of Isai Thorne and Quentin Sampson as the newest contracted members of the Guyana Harpy Eagles (GHE) franchise.
Following the duo of Gudakesh Motie and Tagenarine Chanderpaul receiving Cricket West Indies retainer contracts, two slots automatically opened, which were subsequently awarded to Thorne and Sampson following their recent exploits.
Thorne, who is currently with the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) setup during the current Regional Super50, has caught the eye with his energetic pace bowling. On the other hand, Sampson, who hails from Essequibo, is a hard-hitting all-rounder who has shown quality with the ball.
He is currently with the GHE unit at the regional event.
The list of GHE Franchise contracted players for the 2023-2024 season is as follows: Matthew Nandu, Tevin Imlach, Kemol Savory, Kevlon Anderson, Rampertab Ramnauth, Mavendra Dindyal, Kevin Sinclair, Nial Smith, Shamar Joseph, Ronsford Beaton, Veerasammy Permaul, Antony Adams, Junior Sinclair, Isai Thorne, and Quentin Sampson.
