Douglas Flannagan, a 54-year-old resident of Waramadong Village, Upper Mazaruni River, Region Seven, appeared before Magistrate Delon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where he was charged with engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
He is accused of committing the act on April 2, 2021 on a seven-year-old female of Region Seven.
Flannagan was not required to plead and was remanded to prison until December 19.
The matter has been transferred to Kamarang Magistrates Court.
