Coast Guard Commanders of the Regional Security System (RSS) recently concluded a two-day Annual Conference here in Guyana.
Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Coast Guard’s Commanding Officer, Commander David Shamsudeen, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and conveyed his elation at hosting the conference merely a year after Guyana’s membership in the RSS.
A release from the GDF said that the officials discussed a number of key maritime-related matters and explored opportunities for collaboration.
Also in attendance were Police Marine Unit Commanders, Border Security agencies, and representatives from international partners such as the United States, European Union, United Nations, and France.
