The annual Hamilton Green Cup organized by former national football captain and coach Lennox Arthur is set to commence Sunday.
The event, a nine-a-side Inter ward/Village competition, which runs until November 12th will see teams clashing for over one million dollars in prizes according to the organiser.
The first prize is $500,000 with $250,000 for the runners-up. The third and fourth placed prizes are$150,000 and $100,000 respectively.
The tournament will kick off at 5pm Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground with Sophia opposing Mahaica.
Other matches scheduled for Sunday are:- Pouderoyen vs Festival City, Den Amstel vs Timehri, Soesdyke vs Venguy FC, Herstelling vs Airy Hall, Westside Spartans vs North East La Penitence, Sparta Boss vs Belle West Stars and Bent Street vs Uitvlugt.
