The Western Tigers and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) football teams recorded wins when the KFC Elite League Cup continued Sunday evening at the Eve Leary Stadium in Kingston, Georgetown.

The Western Tigers downed Den Amstel 3-0 in the first match. All three conversions were recorded in the second half, with Daniel Wilson breaking the deadlock in the 60th minute with a moment of individual brilliance.

Awarded a free kick outside the right of the penalty area, Wilson uncorked a right-footed strike that sailed into the roof of the right corner.

The second goal in the 79th minute was engineered by Michael Oie, who dribbled two defenders after racing to the left of the penalty before squaring the ball into the path of Randolph Wagner, who slotted home inside the six-yard box.

Daniel Moshette sealed the result one minute later, after the intercepted ball was passed to him and he duly fired the ball into the back of the net from inside the area.

In another fixture, GDF outflanked Milerock 4-0. Chris Macey bagged a brace in the 43rd and 90th minute while Kelsey Benjamin scored in the 23rd minute. Adding to the score was an own goal in the 43rd minute.
