In observance of UN Day yesterday, the UN Resident Co-ordinator Yeşim Oruç and the UN Country Team hosted media workers at breakfast at the Black Magenta on Camp Street. The role of the media in disseminating information about progress towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals was highlighted. Oruç and her team fielded a variety of questions about programmes here to fight gender-based violence and other areas. Several questions were also posed on the numbers of Venezuelan migrants here and what was being done to aid them and to prevent them being exploited.
