Carrol Lynette Skeete, a 62-year-old woman whose 105 Temple Street, Goed Fortuin Housing Scheme home was completely destroyed by a fire that was said to have been started by a fluctuating electricity supply is seeking help from the government to rebuild.
The fire occurred on September 26 at her two-storey wooden and concrete home while she was on vacation overseas.
Skeete was unable to say what time the fire started but while she was away, she was informed by neighbours that her home was on fire. She relayed that she couldn’t say what the cost of her losses was but noted that some money she had in her home was burnt along with every other items as her home was well furnished.
