Roy Jaglall—one of the two men who had been accused of murdering fisherman, Mukesh Mangra back in 2020—has been acquitted of the charge.
Following hours of deliberations yesterday afternoon, a jury found Jaglall not guilty of committing the offence.
While the panel was unanimous in its finding on the first count for the capital offence; it returned a majority verdict in the proportion of 10-2 on the lesser count of manslaughter.
