A 47-year-old rice farmer, Mohindra Mohan, called ‘Boyo’ was yesterday morning found dead in the Devonshire Castle Backdam in Region Two, the police said.
His mother, Ghanishree Mohan said that her son left home in the morning to go to his rice farm using his bicycle as usual.
At about 7 am, she was at home when she received information that her son was seen lying on the road. She immediately ventured to the area where she saw her son motionless with his bicycle next to him.
A report was subsequently made to the Police. The scene was processed and photographed by crime scene ranks. The body was examined, and no mark of violence was seen. The body is at the Suddie Public Hospital’s Mortuary, awaiting a Post-Mortem Examination.
