On Friday evening, the US Embassy hosted a reception to formally welcome US Ambassador Nicole D. Theriot to Guyana.
In the presence of government officials, members of the opposition, stakeholders, partners and alumni, a release from the US Embassy said that Ambassador Theriot stated “I feel incredibly honored and privileged to have the opportunity to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. President Ali, I look forward to partnering with you and the Guyanese people to advance the goal of a prosperous and safe Guyana and to build a more sustainable and secure region, with a special emphasis on energy security, food security, and climate resilience.”
