Guyana Harpy Eagles recorded a vital seven-wicket win over Jamaica Scorpions yesterday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy to keep their hopes of advancing in the CG United Regional Super50 alive.
With rain reducing the contest to a 48-over match, Scorpions won the toss and decided to take first strike, posting 181 all out in 46.5 overs. Eagles, who were set a target of 184 by the Duckworth/Lewis and Stern method, reached their target in 39 overs for the loss of three wickets. This win meant that Scorpions, who are the reigning champions, ended their campaign without a win.
