Police last Friday arrested a 25-year-old Friendship East Coast Demerara labourer after they discovered a black plastic bag containing a quantity of ziploc bags containing leaves, seeds and stems of suspected cannabis which amounted 103.1 grammes. The police in a release revealed that an Inspector and a party of police ranks conducted a cordon and search exercise at ‘Spliff’ Street Buxton, East Coast Demerara last Friday during which several areas along the street were searched. During the exercise, ranks found bag with cannabis on the western parapet in the vicinity of a 25-year-old male labourer of Friendship, East Coast Demerara. He was arrested and escorted to the Vigilance Police Station as investigation continues.
