Dear Editor,
Following the border controversy meeting between the Government and opposition, it was reported that a strong and robust PR campaign blitz to educate, inform and edify the populace was to be rolled out. Days to the holding of the highly contentious referendum no such campaign has been observed in the electronic and print media; no fliers distributed no billboards depicting maps of Guyana highlighting the Essequibo region.
An opposition MP at the Extraordinary Sitting of Parliament to consider a motion on the controversy, reminded of the importance of such a campaign.
The importance of the campaign was highlighted at the high level meeting between the sides. So weeks after still no campaign blitz. Why?
Yours faithfully,
Shamshun Mohamed
