Sean Lindore, called ‘Leather’, a 27-year-old miner from Bartica was charged on Wednesday with the murder of Sherman Phillips at Sandhill Backdam, Cuyuni River.
Lindore appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Crystal Lambert where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to December 28th.
Police say Lindore is accused of the murder of Philips called `Suno’, a 40-year-old miner, which occurred at about 17:00 hours on 2023-10-08 at Sand Hill backdam, Cuyuni River.
Phillips was severely chopped about his body and hospitalized. He later succumbed to his injuries.
