Head of One CONCACAF and Caribbean Projects, Howard McIntosh, stated that the proposed D’urban Park Football Complex, upon its completion, will transform the local football landscape of Guyana.
This was disclosed in an official release from the Guyana Football Federation (GFF). According to the correspondence, McIntosh, during a site visit with GFF President Wayne Forde, reiterated CONCACAF’s commitment to the construction of a modern football stadium that is geared to feature a main field, mini-pitches, a seating capacity of 10,400, and office space on the 7.3-acre location.
Local firm McGregor’s Real Estate Development Incorporated was contracted to the tune of $23.6 million to clear and landfill half of the 7.3 acres of land. The D’urban Park facility is projected to be finished in four years.
