Fruta Conquerors defeated Potaro by a 2-1 score-line when the Women’s Division One Football League continued yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club ground in Bourda.
Amanda McKenzie and Shanessa Cornelius scored in the 10th and 55th minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Olivia O’Selmo in the 85th minute. Meanwhile, GDF made light work of the Pakuri Warriors 10-0 at St. Cuthbert’s Mission Ground.
Ana Horsham led the rout with five goals. She was supported by Glendie Lewis, who tallied a helmet trick, while Abioce Heywood netted one goal.
