Hardknocks and LA Ballers continued their unbeaten run when the New Era Futsal Championship continued on Saturday night at the Retrieve Tarmac in Linden.
Hardknocks thrashed Genasyde 15-3. Respective hat-tricks were recorded by the trio of Shevane Seaforth, Omar Brewley, and John Waldron, while Pernell Schultz added a double alongside two of his own goals. Netting one goal each were Clive Nobrega and Marley Major.
For the loser, Kester Vallodare bagged a brace while his own goal completed their tally. Similarly, the LA Ballers dismissed the West Side Ballers 12-6, led by a five-goal haul from Andre Mayers. Contributing doubles were Marcus Tudor and Tyric McAllister, while Jehus Regis, Adrian Aaron, and Omar Williams netted one goal apiece.
On the other side, Dequan Samuels and Rodrick Britton scored two goals each, while Andrew Walker and Osapho Rose netted one goal, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Gorillas outfit crushed One Side 8–4. Damion Williams led the way with a hat-trick, while Deshawn Freeman added a double. Contributing one goal apiece were Felix Inniss, Huey Fraser, and George Stephens.
For the loser, Shaka Greenville tallied a brace alongside one goal conversion from Orwin Hermonstine and Jamal Allman, respectively.
The event continues on Wednesday at the same venue with another round of group stage matches. The other playing dates are November 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 24th, with the final chalked up for November 25th.
The winner of the event will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will receive $500,000 and the corresponding accolade. Meanwhile, the third- and fourth-place finishers will walk away with $200,000 and $100,000 apiece and the respective trophy.
