Private Sector Commission won’t meet with delegation from US

The Private Sector Commission (PSC) last night said that it is satisfied that the visiting delegation from the United States of America, the Organization of World Leaders, is neither bipartisan nor objective in its purpose for visiting Guyana and, therefore, the PSC will not be meeting with it.

“Our doors remain open and we welcome legitimate delegations interested in exploring business opportunities and partnering for the development of Guyana”, a release from the PSC said.

The `fact-finding’ mission of various legislators from the US and others has sparked controversy. The government has declined to meet with the team saying that it is biased and opposition-aligned. The delegation has denied this.
