Sheldon Parker, a 49-year-old miner of West La Penitence Housing Scheme, Georgetown, was charged yesterday with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Parker appeared at the Bartica Magis-trate’s Court before Magistrate Dylon Bess, where the charge was read to him. According to the police, he pleaded not guilty and was placed on $750,000 bail. The matter was adjourned to December 15th. On November 18th at about 07:30 hours, police in Regional Division #7 were conducting an operation in the Sherima Police Station District where Parker was allegedly found with 1,858 grammes of narcotics.
