The Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) has announced its upcoming award ceremony to recognize and celebrate the outstanding performances of its cyclists for the 2023 season.
This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday at 62 Seaforth Street in Campbellville and the event is set to commence from 17:30hrs.
According to the federation’s Facebook page, all cycling enthusiasts and supporters are welcomed to partake in applauding the achievements of the senior, junior, master, juvenile, and female cyclists.
National Road race champions, Briton John (senior) and teenage sensation, Alex Leung (junior) who enjoyed much success on the local as well as the foreign circuits, will more than likely be awarded with the marquee accolades and incentives.
The social media post stated that the body will honour the top performers in each category and present them with well-deserved prizes. “These awards serve as a token of appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and excellence in representing their respective clubs and Guyana in the cycling arena.”
The post went on to state “As the Guyana Cycling Federation, we strive to promote and develop cycling in our country, and this award ceremony is a testament to our commitment. We hope to create a memorable evening for both the cyclists and the audience, fostering a sense of camaraderie among each other. We thank you for your hard work and dedication in the sport that we all love.”
