President Irfaan Ali yesterday met at State House with an executive team from the University of Miami and other stakeholders involved in the development of Silica City.
The delegation from the university was led by its President, Dr Julio Frank.
The University is working along with the Government of Guyana to develop a master plan for Silica City, a release from the Office of the President said. Yester-day’s discussions also addressed other areas for academic development in Guyana.
The Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal; the Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Susan Rodrigues, Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Sherwyn Greaves; Director of Presidential Affairs, Marcia Nadir-Sharma and representatives from the Guyana Innovation Group were also part of the meeting.
