Suriname Airways Chief Executive Officer, Captain Steven Gonesh and other company representatives met on Thursday with Dr. Peter Ramsaroop, Head of the Guyana Office for Investment (G-Invest) on a possible expansion of services here.
A G-Invest release said that Gonesh expressed Suriname Airways’ keen interest in expanding their flight operations and venturing into cargo transportation services from Guyana to various international destinations.
“This move is a significant step toward enhancing connectivity and economic growth in the region”, the release added.
Ramsaroop underscored the strategic significance of Guyana’s geographic location in air travel and emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming Guyana into a pivotal hub for air transportation, the release added.
