LA Ballers and Haynes Ballers will contest the final of the ExxonMobil/New Era Futsal Championship following lopsided semifinal wins on Friday evening at the Retrieve Tarmac in Linden.
The LA Ballers riddled the Young Gunners 16-8 in the feature semifinal encounter. Georgetown recruits Adrian Aaron and Jermaine Beckles tallied respective hat-tricks in the rout, while the quartet of Tevin Crawford, Omar Williams, Tyric McAllister, and Andre Mayers registered two goals each. Adding solitary conversions were Jehu Regus and Mortimer Giddings.
For the loser, Ryan Arthur scored three times, while Dexter Milo bagged a brace. Supporting them with one goal each were Omarion Ramsammy, Rodensio Tudor, and Tyrese Azore.
In similar fashion, Haynes Ballers brushed aside Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) 8–4. Antwoine Gill recorded five conversions, while Immanuel Atkins tallied a helmet trick. For the loser, Jonah Simon tallied a double, while Kevin Gittens and Keyshawn Dey added one goal each.
The losing semifinalists will battle in the third-place playoff.
The winner will receive $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will pocket $500,000 and the corresponding accolade. The third and fourth-place finishers will receive $200,000 and $100,000, respectively.
