Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo yesterday told residents of Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam that Venezuela will never succeed and Essequibo belongs to Guyana.
Jagdeo made those remarks at an engagement at the Anna Regina Car Park, noting that the matter between Guyana and Venezuela is currently at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and Guyana has the support of the entire international community. He told residents that there are a lot of negatives circulating, mostly lies peddled by the Maduro administration.
He said that Guyana is a unique country and will overcome the threats to its borders as the country has taken definite steps to resolve the issue.
