LA Ballers were crowned the ExxonMobil/New Era Futsal Champion, defeating Haynes Ballers 15-6 in the final on Saturday evening at the Retrieve Tarmac in Linden.
Georgetown recruit Jermaine Beckles led the assault with a helmet trick. He was supported by Marcus Tudor and Tyric McAllister, who tallied respective hat-tricks. Contributing a brace was Adrian Aaron, while the trio of Jehu Regis, Amoniki Buntin, and Andre Mayers registered one conversion, respectively.
For the loser, Dexroy Adams crafted a helmet trick, while Antwoine Gill registered a double. With the outcome, the LA Ballers walked away with $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the Haynes Ballers pocketed $500,000.
In the third-place playoff, the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) mauled the Young Gunners 16-6. Jamal Bentick and Jonah Simon recorded five goals apiece, while Duquan Wilson bagged a hat-trick. Adding one goal each were Tyrel Stephens, Ryan Noel, and Kevin Gittens.
For the losers, Kamar McLaren and Dexter Milo recorded respective doubles, while Omarion Ramsammy and Rodensio Tudor scored one goal, respectively. Due to the result, YMCA pocketed $200,000, while Young Gunners received $100,000.
