It is a great honour and privilege to offer condolences to the widow, daughter and family of our highly esteemed Dr. Rudy Insanally whose passing leaves Guyana with much sadness but whose “death must not find us thinking that we die”, as Martin Carter so poignantly proclaimed.
The life-long testimony of Dr. Insanally’s passionate patriotism for Guyana’s sovereignty is one among many remarkable qualities of dedication and commitment that Rudy portrayed in his service as Foreign Minister, Permanent Representative to the United Nations and President of the UN’s General Assembly.
His tenure as Guyana’s Ambassador to the Organisation of African, Caribbean & Pacific States (OACPS), the European Union (EU) and to other countries, including the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will constitute a living reservoir from which all Guyana can draw succour and strength to live in peace and
harmony with all countries of this hemisphere and beyond.
May Rudy enjoy eternal peace in the Kingdom the Lord has prepared for His good and faithful servant.
