From December 20 this year, Surinam Airways will be flying between Guyana and Barbados.

A Surinam Airways delegation traveled to Guyana and Barbados on November 21st 2023 to discuss the new route. A release from the airline said that the expansion of the route network by including Barbados to be serviced from Paramaribo with an intermediate stop in Guyana, aims to support increased productivity, enhanced earning capacity and more importantly greater connectivity and travel experience for the traveling public.

The release said that the visit involved introductions and discussions with relevant government, industry and commercial entities to facilitate the launch and the smooth operation of the new route. In Guyana as well as in Barbados, this new Surinam Airways service was welcomed.
