The Guyana Police Association on Friday in a show of support for the children of the late Woman Police Constable Annette Abel, made a monetary donation to the two young adults to assist with any of their needs at the moment.
A statement from the body said that in a meeting at the Police Association’s office, the monetary support was handed over to the late policewoman’s two children – Abigail and Ezekiel by Treasurer of the Association, Inspector Kevin Fields, Vice-Chair, Woman Inspector Natoya Benjamin and Secretary, Karen Seaford.
Constable Abel died while on duty on November 16, after a drunk driver crashed into her while she and her colleagues were conducting a roadblock exercise at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
