Needing only a draw to seal their place in the CONCACAF W Gold Cup Prelims, the Lady Jaguars will face off against Antigua and Barbuda today at 17:00hrs at the IR Franklin Essed Stadium, Suriname, in their final group stage match.
The Lady Jaguars sit atop the standings on 12 points following their dismantling of lowly Dominica by a 9-0 scoreline in their previous encounter at the same venue. On the other hand, Antigua and Barbuda lost their previous outing 0-1 to Suriname. However, Antigua and Barbuda defeated Guyana 2-1 in the previous meeting of the nations.
Since the aforesaid loss, Guyana has recorded four consecutive wins. The other three wins emanated against Dominica [5-0], and Suriname [1-0, 1-0].

The event serves as the qualifier for the inaugural Road to the Gold Cup. After home and away group stage matches within each league, the respective winner of each League ‘A’ section (three teams) will qualify for the 2024 W Gold Cup Group Stage.
The second-place finishers in each of the League A groups (three teams) and the winner of each League B pool (three teams) will progress to the preliminary stage of the 2024 W Gold Cup (six teams in total). The inaugural W Gold Cup will occur from February 17th to March 10th, 2024, in the United States.
