Two weeks after 38-year-old accountant, Chooromanie Tulsie, was murdered, her DNA samples are being tested and the Guyana Police Force is now awaiting those results.
This is according to a source close to the case who related that the killer would have left a ‘distinct mark’ on her body.
Tulsie of Lot 26 Unity, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara was found at around 8.00 am in the lower flat of her house, on November 19th, lying on the ground with a piece of cloth stuffed inside her mouth and a knife stuck at the centre of her throat.
A relative believes that the perpetrator might have been known to the woman as nothing was stolen.
The relative has also indicated that she strongly believes the suspected killer’s motive was based on infatuation with Tulsie and that the killer was probably desirous of having a romantic relationship with her. Since this disclosure, a ‘close friend’ of the family was arrested and Stabroek News was also told by Commander of Regional Division 4 (C), Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram that several other persons are also in custody concerning the murder.
