Family, Back Circle, Stabroek Ballers, and Sparta Boss secured contrasting wins when the ‘East Bank versus the Rest’ street-ball championship continued on Saturday evening at the Mocha Arcadia Basketball tarmac.
Needing a win to progress to the next stage, Family brushed aside Broad Street 3-0. Shamar Jones recorded a hat-trick in the third, eighth, and 16th minutes. Similarly, the Stabroek Ballers bested Xtra Mature 2-0 with a Darren Benjamin double in the fourth and 16th minutes.
On the other hand, Back Circle squeaked past Red Force 1-0. Ravin Naughton found the back of the net in the third minute. Likewise, Sparta Boss bested the Back Street Warriors 1-0. Jermin Junior recorded the only conversion in the fourth minute.
In other results, Unruly Entertainment defeated Bent Street 1-0 via a Lennox Cort strike in the ninth minute, while Team Cruel downed Agricola 1-0 as Jerome Harrigon scored in the 18th minute.
