The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has confirmed that all systems are in place for the staging of the KFC League Cup final, which is pencilled for tomorrow at the Eve Leary ground in Kingston.

This was confirmed by an official release from the federation. According to an official press release, GFF Technical Director Bryan Joseph said, “We’re fully prepared for the exciting final matches this Saturday. The tournament has seen Guyana’s top clubs fiercely compete for the prestigious cup title. The final night is set to be absolutely electrifying.”

These comments were uttered at the official trophy unveiling yesterday at the KFC Vlissengen Road location. The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will face off against Western Tigers in the final at 21:00 hours, while the Guyana Police Force will battle Buxton United in the third-place playoff at 19:00 hours.

Meanwhile, GDF Head Coach Joseph Wilson said, “Preparation is close to being on cue. You are never perfect; you always keep working towards what you hope to achieve, especially going into a game of this nature.”

He highlighted that the team is “committed, they are determined as usual, and we are just working and looking forward to the game.”

Similarly, GDF captain Kennard Simon said, “As the coach always says, train hard and fight easy all the time. On game day, everybody is going to see what strategy we are going with.”
