New disability signs painted

The Ministry of Human Services yesterday teamed up with the National Commission on Disability to paint new disability signs at their main offices located at Lamaha & East streets, Cornhill Street and Water Street.

This initiative was part of the Ministry’s 16 days of activism campaign aimed at raising awareness of violence against women and girls. A release from the ministry said that the campaign also highlighted the importance of supporting vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities.

In addition, the Ministry collaborated with the Disability Community during their week of activities to commemorate the International Day of Disability.
