Kwakwani, Bishops’ High advance in ‘Titan Bowl’ Basketball Championship

Kwakwani, the Bishops’ High, and President’s College recorded contrasting wins when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) ‘Titan Bowl’ Championship continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue,

Kwakwani downed the New Amsterdam Multilateral 44-27. Cordell Hoyte recorded 15 points and seven rebounds in the win, while Arren Vanlewin added seven points, five rebounds, and four steals. For the loser, Jared Dainty recorded nine points, while Kamani Spelling added seven points and six rebounds.

Similarly, the Bishops’ High brushed aside St. Stanislaus College 50–24. Carmelo Man-Son-Hing led the rout with 23 points, while Matthias Arrindell scored 13 points. For the loser, Brandon McKoy netted nine points, while Daniel Chisholm chipped in with six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, President’s College bested St. Rose’s 39–30. Treyon Grenville was the primary threat for the victor with 21 points, while Judah Ferreira contributed 12 points and six rebounds. On the other side, Chad Martin tallied 14 points and six rebounds, while Paul France scored six points and five rebounds.

Also, Linden Technical Institute (LTI) squeaked past the Government Technical Institute (GTI) 35–32. Kellon Phillips recorded 11 points and seven rebounds, while Minnion Vincent recorded eight points. For the loser, Peter Langevine tallied 12 points.
