Randolph Williams called ‘Travis’, a 27-year-old bartender of Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast, appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam, where he was charged with the rape of a child under 16 years.
All statements and documents were tendered and marked as exhibits during the hearing.
The magistrate ruled that the statements and exhibits tendered before the court were sufficient to commit the accused to stand trial at the next practicable session at the Suddie Supreme Criminal Court.
Williams is accused of committing the act on a child from the Essequibo Coast, on 21st May 2023.
Bail was granted in the sum of $150,000.
