(Trinidad Express) A suspect has been held by police officers in relation to the murders of Guyana-born Hollice Thomas and her son, eight-year-old Noel Thomas.
This according to Senior Superintendent Roger Alexander while speaking on Wednesday on the Beyond the Tape programme, aired on the Express Newspapers’ CCN partner TV6.
Alexander said that officers of the Southern Division, under Senior Superintendent Hospedales and Inspector Ramlogan, worked alongside a security firm to arrest a suspect.
The bodies of Thomas, a 40-year-old security officer and Noel, a standard three pupil, were found on Tuesday morning in the bedroom of the apartment they rented at Battoo Street, Marabella. They both had wounds to their necks. Noel died at the scene while Thomas was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where she died.
Autopsies have been scheduled to be performed on the bodies of the mother and son.
